We had a great time. A great group of people. An incredible learning experience about WW2 and especially D-Day. Our guide, Pete Combee, knew all of the facts and kept us on task. He was very professional. It was a nice mix of D-Day stops and other historic or fun stops. A lot of good food! Great Tour!!!!!

Peter Combe guided us through a rich schedule of historical venues. His discussions on the background of each event greatly added to the experience. It would have been impossible to attempt this tour on my own and get even 50% of the richness. Everything added to a great experience, from the group discussions to the selected venues to the nightly accommodations. I cant imagine a better planned and executed tour. I think every American should experience this special period of history.

The Virginians to Normandy trip was excellent. Our guide, Peter Combee, had a wealth of knowledge and impressive contacts with folks in France which provided us with the opportinity to visit sites and meet with local historians above and beyond a normal Normandy tour. Peter provided a detailed agenda for each day which he ensured we stuck to and all of the accommodations were great. I would highly recommend this trip to history enthusiasts as well as anyone wanting to experience France's many cultural opportunities.

Pete Combee is a knowledgeable, enthusiastic guide. We visited a variety of locations: museums, cemeteries, churches, beaches, of course, and memorial spots as we traveled the countryside. Great group. Delicious food. Fantastic trip.

An amazing trip! Not only was Peter a wealth of information about the invasion of Normandy, but the surrounding areas as well. Getting the history from the point of view of several locals who still maintained family estates made things come to life for me. It was a great trip with great accommodations and food, and best of all people. Thank you Peter and Candy for making this a trip of a lifetime!
